Senior Energy Specialist of the World Bank in East Asia and Pacific

 
Ms. Beatriz Arizu has specialized in power sector reform power markets, legal and regulatory frameworks, competitive power markets, promotion and integration of renewable energy, private sector participation and competitive procurement. As Senior Energy Specialist of the World Bank in East Asia and Pacific, she worked mainly in the Philippines, Vietnam, and China. She represented the World Bank in the Great Mekong Subregion (GMS) power trade forums (Thailand, China, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Cambodia and Vietnam). Previously, as Executive Consultant, she worked in more than 20 countries around the world, principally in Latin America, Middle East, Africa and Asia, advising Governments, Regulatory Commissions and Privatization Agencies. She worked in the design of the Regional Electricity Market in Central America, and was regulatory expert of World Bank panel assisting Turkey power sector reform program
